Can't get past loading screen after I copy songs
I'm having problems with my Fuze+. When I try to copy songs to the internal memory, it copies but I can't get past the "Refreshing Database" screen, it freezes up. I've tried formatting, re-installing the newest Firmware, re-tagging all my songs, no dice. So the question is, did my internal memory get corrupted with the newest Firmware? Is there a way to transfer back to internal memory? Is there a way to restore the internal memory without having to format? How can I get to the Firmware so I can see if it's causing the problem? Someone please help! Thanks!
Playlist won't show when I want to add songs to it?
I have recently made three playlists (using the create playlist option you can do on windows)
All three show up fine under playlists, but when I want to add certain songs, two of the playlists show up in the options but not the third one.
I am using Sansa Fuze+ 16GB black. Anything I can do to fix this?
The two playlists are Edits and Medleys. The third one is named 'Idolmaster' and it didn't show up. then I tried "IDOLM@STER" but it also didn't work. I'm telling the names to let you know that I'm not using any special characters that could possibly cause errors.
music artwork not showing
hi there. i have a sansa fuze+, 8gb model, and just updated the firmware to 2.38.06. thank goodness folder browsing is there! overall everything is ok, except none of my music artwork is displaying. i rip my cds using itunes, to mp3, and embed artwork inside itunes, so each track has an embedded image. mac finder displays the artwork when i select an mp3 file in finder, but the fuze+ just doesn't seem to like what i've done.
any clues?
cheers
fuze shows only 47 of 366 songs
my fuze suddenly only lists 47 songs although 366 were on it. when I attempt to upload more songs, I get the message that there is insufficient space. which leads me to believe that the other 319 songs remain but are just not recognises. If I plug into my computer it does not show the artist section.
Shuffle question/ individual files
Does the fuse recognize individual mp3 files plopped in the music folder? I do not use a management program, I simply drag and drop to maintain my music folder. It seems the Fuse ignores the individual files that are not in folders when shuffling. Perhaps it just never gets to them…but you would think it would pick up one every now and then.
Should I put these files in a “various artists” folder in order to get the fuse to want to play them or is it just a function that I have so much music on the fuse it hasn’t gotten to those single files “yet”?
My Sansa Fuse + won't turn on at all
Today is my birthday and I got a Sansa Fuze +. I connected the player to my computer to charge. No problem. My computer reconizes it. I can sync as well. And it says "connected" on my players screen. Once I disconect the player from my computer, it goes black. I press on the power button for 15 secs - nothing. I press on it even longer then that - nothing. What am I doing wrong that this thing isn't turning on? Please help! :mansad:
Recording audiobooks
I'm only interested in loading audiobooks... and only occasionally recorded music. is there a special method to do this?
I also want to delete when finished with book.
sansa fuse + Playlists not showing
I can get the music files to sync over. But the related Playlists are not showing up on the sansa. ? I used windows Media Player. Create the playlist and populate it with music files. After I synced, the music shows up. But the playlists are not listed in the playlist menu.
I followed the manual, which is rather outdated. I tried "nuking it out", also. After several hours, I give up?
This is so screwed up
Dear San Disk: Thanks for screwing up a great music player that was superior to an Ipod. Your touch sensitive controls are hard to navigate and often overshoot the intended destination or never seem to find its way there. The inability to download a "playlist" created by me on a computer, INTACT with ALL my selections is nil. It seems out of the 410 songs under "Rockers" you only allow me 178, and even then YOU REPEAT 15 of them. Your videos on your site are for the MIT geek ,not an everyday normal person to decipher. You can cure this by going back to the model you had 3 years ago, restore the wheel control selection, allow all my downloads to DOWNLOAD" . The external chip? How about making it also user friendly to download to. For $55.00 I thought I was getting a good product. If I wanted a high tech doorstop,I would have gone to Home Depot.
Sansa Fuse+ issues with 16G sd card
Hi all,
I am having problems with my Sansa Fuse+ and the external SD card. I have had my mp3 player for a few years now and I just got an external sd card for it today. it is a 16GB, HC, class 10.
When the SD card is in the slot and I try to boot up the device, my sansa will show the bootup stage but will turn off quickly after that. but if I Don't have the SD card in and boot it up, it boots up fine. I can then put in the SD card and it works fine. I am only having problems turning it on with the SD card in when I try to turn it on.
I hope that I explained everything well enough, but does anyone know why this would be happening?
Thanks!

Problems getting FLAC to work
Hi
I just got myself a fuse+ to try out and am having a lot of problems getting , FLAC files to work. I have updarted to the latest firmware.
I have read around the issue and know the Fuse does not support twenty four bit. The music I'm transferring is ripped using EAC and in some cases Media Monkey and is sixteen bit. I checked this using the codec properties option in VLC
If i set the USB mode to auto on the device then anything on my MM synch list gets transferred and appears on the device but i get an unsupported file type error when trying to playback the FLAC files.
If i set the USB mode to MSC then not all of the music appears on the device after transferring it using MM (it shows as being copied by MM if you watch the progress bar) but what does transfer does playback
I am leaning towards the issue being tagging related but am not sure how to figure this out.
If I could post two files, one that transferrs and one that does not, is there someone who might be able to help figure this out please?
Thanks in advance
Chris
Sansa Fuze+ "no uSD card" error
The history of this player and micro SD cards is ridiculous. When I first bought my Sansa Fuze+, I had no trouble at all with micro SD cards - I even used a 64GB class 6 card that I already had and it worked like a charm. And suddenly, no cards have worked right since that first one got fried in my tablet.
I chose this player for several reasons, in no special order: the compact size and smaller screen in particular (I like watching movies on airplanes and not having people watch over my shoulder); ability to take micro SD cards and various file types; sale price; and NOT an Apple product. I am seriously doubting my decision now because I can't use it for the purpose that I bought it, which is to put all my mp3s on the internal memory of the player and use the SD cards for videos. I can only use the mp3s, and they fill the 8 GB.
I thought I had figured it out in pieces, but now my theory is shot to pieces. I thought, after buying new cards and having them fail to read, that you can't use class 10 at all, but class 4. So, I bought class 4 and 32GB to make sure. I have a brand new Kingston 32GB class 4 and it can't be read. I reformatted the card in my pc to FAT32, and it reads briefly, but I can't put any files on it and have it read in the player. I try booting first, then inserting the card. Then, I try inserting the card then booting, and finally, I try plugging it into my computer and reading files from there (which works maybe 1/3 of the time).
I formatted the card in my PC using SDFormatter and GUIformat (to get FAT32). Then, I formatted it in the Sansa when it reads. I figured out that the Sansa doesn't read it so well when I format it in the device, so I also tried leaving it formatted to FAT32 from the PC and it seems to read at first that way, but suddenly stops as soon as I move files over.
What is up with this player not reading cards??? Anybody have a magic trick for this? Something I'm missing?

Fuze + Podcast books - Resume
I tried this player two years ago and hated it, returned it for many reasons. It looks like many of the issues have been fixed in subsequent firmware updates. What I can't seem to find out in searching this site is if the player remembers the last item you were playing in a category. Example: Podcast category, Many podcast folders, many podcasts in a folder. If you maneuver to the podcast section, find the named folder you want to listen to, will it remember which of the many podcasts in the list you were last playing?
sandisk fuxe 8
win xp installer runs but launches win media player - that really sucks if can only access thru media P
Audiobooks Podcast - Won't Resume without Pausing
I decided to try this player again. I have been using it a few days and it seems that unless you pause your book or podcast, it will not resume where you left off. This is a deal breaker for me. I use it at bedtime and set the sleep timer to go off 20-30 minutes later. Of course I am not awake to pause it, therefore resume does not work. I have had Fuse, Clip and Clip+. This is not how those players worked at all. Why the change and will it be corrected in subsequent firmware updates?
